Hi peeps!

I’m looking for recommendations for areas on the big island that match our interests.

I’ll be on the big island, end of June for 9 days with my 13 year old twins. We love snorkeling and tide pools.

Here are the details: flying into KOA, rented a car and don’t mind driving a few hours. Budget is $2k max for lodging so I’ve been eyeing Waikoloa (village area) and Kailua-Kona (closer to shore). Ideally, we can walk to tide pools from condo and I can drive to off beach snorkeling.

Any recommendations on cross streets or neighborhoods? Tide pools and locations would be helpful too.
