How can I save my sheets?
Hello!!! I need some advice on how to dye fabric because I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing.
I was gifted 2 sets of bamboo sheets (one rose gold and one light gray) that have orangey bleach stains all over them from a face cream I use. I didn’t realize it could bleach fabric until it was too late, and now there are a bunch of lighter splotches everywhere. I really like these sheets, and they’re quite expensive. I figured I could try to save them by dying them a similar color.
I wanted to ask:
- What kind of dye should I use for 100% viscose bamboo sheets (Eden & Om)?
- Is there a certain brand that works best?
- Would I need to dye the whole sheet a darker color to cover the bleach spots?
Also if anyone could recommend a color they think would work best that would be great!!
I’d really appreciate any advice because I’d rather save them than buy new sheets.
