Hey guys! I decided I’d start sharing my AOS process and timeline for my I-485 and I-765 in case anyone has questions or is going through something similar. I’m a Canadian citizen and my husband is American. I came to the U.S. on a K-1 visa in November 2025, we got married on December 22, 2025, and we filed my adjustment of status package on March 2, 2026. My field office is Chicago. I’ll keep updating this post as things move along!

Timeline so far:

I-485 (Adjustment of Status)

•	March 2, 2026 — USCIS received my I-485 and sent receipt notice

•	April 13, 2026 — Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS

•	April 30, 2026 — USCIS sent Request for Initial Evidence (RFE)

•	May 14, 2026 — USCIS received my RFE response

I-765 (Employment Authorization)

•	March 2, 2026 — USCIS received my I-765 and sent receipt notice

•	April 13, 2026 — Case is still being processed by USCIS

Would love to hear from anyone with similar timelines, especially other K-1 to AOS applicants!

I was told a few weeks back I should be getting it in about 2 weeks, however I have not gotten any updates whatsoever, anyone know what could be going on?
