Tree doctors - I need you

This tree has been here for well over 20 years. It is absolutely our favorite tree. However it is so massive that I am constantly concerned about its health and the damage it would cause if it fell. It would at minimum take out two cars and a fence.

In addition of course we don’t want the tree to die because we love it so much. Past few years iv noticed it growing some moss around the trunk.

I’d love some advice on whether the tree looks healthy and any maintanence we should consider if we want to ensure this tree remains strong and healthy.

In addition I’d love to hire an arborist to review the tree in person but about 10 years ago I did this and got completely ripped off. I won’t go into the details but I’d love to know what questions to ask to validate a good arborist from a bad one.

Thank you ahead of time for your expertise.
