I'm going to the Canary Islands in October, and I plan to go for trolling and shore jigging. I have a savage gear sgs6 251cm PE 1.5-2.5 heavy 20 g-60 g, and okuma zxp-4000H. I think that this setup is sufficient for shore jigging, but for trolling at least the reel is too weak. The rod can also be too weak if a big fish is hooked.

One year ago, I was in Greece on Cyclades and, I caught 2 swordfish and one mahi mahi around 6-7 kg and it worked perfectly for that kind of fish, but I'm afraid about big fish. I'm not aiming for big game.

Do you have any suggestions if I can use that for trolling or is it better to buy a stronger gear? And if so, what is a good rod and a reel for trolling near the Canary Islands.
