Finally!!! Got It!!!

Ohhh... After so much time, I got this.

And that too at the last second too!

Was playing in Mira, we're at 6. The other impo was afk. So knew that I had do everything. Task bar was filling up. And the host was so bad to put the kill cooldown to 45 secondss...

After waiting a bit I just did a reactor sabo.

And I watched as I was the only one that passed that much road.

Then after just a bit of time, red came. Red was acting wierd at me. My kill cd ended. And I killed him. And meanwhile the sabotage time was dropping, and I was becoming happy. But then, to my horror, I saw the docontamination door open with black and rose coming out. And I was not even close to the vents. I dashed towards it. Vented in front of them, and just saw the countdown go 2-1-0! And they had a body infront of them to report!

Speed was low. It came in handy for this.

That was a different experience. And somehow, this achievement was not even that rare than the other ones I have achieved. Idk.

Is it only me who thinks like this?

**The question is that Among the 3 impostor roles that are currently available to Us,

Is it that the viper is the only one truly helpful?**

I mean, yes you can have good plays with the shapeshifter and phantom.

Like, for Shapeshifter:

Suppose you saw a group of crews. You passed them. They saw you go to a certain direction. When you are out of their sight, you shapeshifted into someone that is not in the group or nearby. Then you approached the same group from a different direction (probably just circling and approaching from the same direction you did earlier), turn the lights off, just wait for all of them to see you have enetered, and then sabotage lights- maybe intentionally stopping, and then killing one of them and just leaving (never report the body) .

Or else, you have found someone alone, kill them.

Now, you can set a trap.

If you are in a room, that has a vent- it would work.

After killing the person, just ss into someone you think also is alone and has not been hard cleared. And just stand on the vent. And wait for someone to come. At the first moment you see someone (you need to be inside their vision radius) vent.

Both of these are much close of acting as a real impostor - who failed, than an obvious SS.

And obviously being a SS would need an aliby.

For the phantom, it is similar to the first technique, but a bit different.

Suppose you have crossed someone lonely, and then also crossed a group (2+ crews). When you are out of the crews sight, go invsible- and go towards the lonely player, unshift and kill. You have some options here now. Like you can wait for some time and do a self report. The group may think that someone else must have done the kill- cause you did a circle in their eyes (they did not see you crossing them) - so you can be a clear. Or you can just vent away and do some sabotages to push the group find the body. It is better.

Also, killing someone and being a phantom to join someone and be safe in their eyes is okay- but vents exist for some reasons.

But here comes the real problem- the more closer the game goes to endgame (and say, you don't have any partners alive), these strategies will become harder and harder to use. You, if you are not wanting to take risks, will find yourself rarely using the abilities.

But here comes viper.

Yes- it does make the case impossible to be a shapeshifter- but c'mon, normal impostor in no role lobby is just that.

Now what it does is dissolve bodies. It helps you directly.

Suppose the game is just down to 4-5 players. Now, players may start to group (phantom and SS don't work at all). But suppose- you have got someone, for just seconds, lonely.

Kill them.

Go out. Get the sabo farthest from the location.

Join other players to fix the sabo. Hopefully, you have pulled the players away from the rotting dbd.

After the sabo gets eventually fixed. Wait sometime, and lock doors.

If in the map the doors are openable, then shut all of them.

If they are not, then block the path the players are heading if, if that leads to the dbd.

And then when they pass the first room, then lock the second, then the next, then the next.

What you essentially are trying to do is win some time.

Eventually the body won't get reported.

Nobody will get any clue of what happended.

Now a sceintist might still be hard to counter, but the thing we just did is to even not let the Sceintist find the body.

If you can successfully repeat the process, you are both getting alibies and kills.

Now, if you think noisemaker can be an issue, when you have spotted the target, just before killing, get the comms sabo. Done.

From my experience I had seen that leaving a body in open not desolving is pretty bad as an impostor, certainly if the game sets are hard.

Well, you can still use the same method to keep the bodies hidden. But eventually it will get reported.

What I think that we should have roles directly linked with killing.

Like, suicide bombing? (Kills everyone incluidng the impostors in a certain radius).

Or maybe a sniper? (Kills someone who is far away using the map- should have animations though to not make this role superpowerful)

Or maybe a mixture of the two? (Using the map, in a certain radius, kills everyone)

Or maybe not kills, but freezes, completely blacks out the vision?

Like something that truly makes the game harder for the crews.

Fighting detectives, gurdains, trackers, vent campers, scientists and noisemakers and even bad/snitch impostors is HARD.

Now technically a 5 second dissolve time phantom is nearly unbeatable- but we ain't using that as a settings normally.

What are your thoughts about it?
