Dry Mouth after Dr Ellie’s protocol
Hi! I just started Dr Ellie’s protocol based on a few people talking about how it helped them in this sub. I have never really used fluoride toothpaste my whole life so all of these products are new to me. I was using lumineaux toothpaste and mouthwash prior to switching two days ago and my mouth was normal then.
Last night I did the protocol before bed and woke up with the driest mouth I’ve ever experienced. I needed lip balm for my lips too. I did follow the protocol exactly with all the recommendations. I didn’t do the protocol this morning and I was able to rehydrate my mouth after some oil pulling later in the morning (I know it’s controversial but it did help with the dry mouth). I just did the protocol again at about 6:30pm tonight and experienced the same thing. My mouth got super dry and then started creating a ton of saliva to try to rehydrate it. It’s been about 2.5 hours since I did the protocol and my mouth is still so dry. What could be causing it? Has anyone else had this happen to them? I’m really just trying to do my best to heal my mouth and this feels like it maybe isn’t the right products for me. I do want to give it a fair chance though. I appreciate all advice and insight!
