Lexus LS460 Reliability

I am interested in purchasing a 2010-2012 LS460. The main concern I have is with the suspension. I’ve heard a lot of stories about it going bad after only around 150k miles, and it’s about 3k to fix (don’t quote me on that). Is this just with the AWD & air suspension options? I live in a warm and flat state, so AWD definitely isn’t necessarily, and air suspension isn’t a requirement either if it’s just gonna lead to issues.

If I were to go with RWD & no air suspension, then would I avoid this suspension issue all together? Also, if there are any other issues with this car, I’d love to know.

Best Daily Driver Under $12k

I’m finally ready to move on from my old Honda, and upgrade to an old(ish) Lexus. Ideally, I am looking for a Lexus sedan that I can find for under $12k (ideally around or under $10k) with around 100k miles or less. I don’t need anything super fast, but under 7 second 0-60 is definitely preferred. I think the oldest I would go is a 2008.

As I do more research, the 2010-2012 LS460 seems perfect. I absolutely love the glossy wood interior, and the exterior has aged very well. It also has a 5.4 second 0-60 which is definitely nice given the price and engine reliability. The main issue I’ve seen is with the suspension, which i definitely want to avoid any issues regarding that as I heard it’s a pretty expensive fix. Is this an issue if it’s not air suspension? I live in a pretty warm and flat state, so AWD would be unnecessary. Would there still be suspension issues with the RWD?

I also like the 2010-2014 GS350 a lot. Are there any reliability concerns with that?

If anyone has any other recommendations, I’d love to hear!

TLDR: Best Lexus sedan that is 16 ish years old or newer, very reliable, affordable maintenance, under 7 second 0-60, and under $10-12k
