Did classical islamic scholars say that the moon was LITERALLY split in Muhammad time and not just metaphorically?

Did classical scholars believe the moon splitting was a literal miracle of Muhammad that actually literally happened and not just in a metaphoric sense, like muslim apologist argue?

Can anyone provide links to scholars supporting the literalist view?

If they did than thats a pretty big knock against islam as NASA scientist brad bailey said the moon was never split!

"NASA responded to the claim here when a social media user flagged it in 2010.

"No current scientific evidence reports that the Moon was split into two (or more) parts and then reassembled at any point in the past," said Brad Bailey, a staff scientist from the NASA Lunar Science Institute.

Professor Paul Groot, an astronomer at Radboud University in the Netherlands, said: "The 'split' indicated in the bottom picture [in the misleading image] is present on the Moon, but it definitely does not extend around the Moon."

"It is a feature that is most likely connected to the impact that created Tycho crater, which is located to the bottom right of the feature in the orientation on the picture," he told AFP via email."

Does anyone have sources detailing the brutality of the Islamic invasions of India?

Does anyone have sources detailing the brutality of the Islamic invasions of India? I heard a Muslim apologist say that most Indians were converted peacefully by Sufi saints and not through violent jihad! Can anyone refute that? Preferably, from scholarly or Islamic sources.

Anachronism in the quran

The quran says in Surah Yusuf Ayat 20 (12:20 Quran)

Sahih International
And they sold him for a reduced price – a few dirhams – and they were, concerning him, of those content with little.

Yusuf Ali
The (Brethren) sold him for a miserable price, for a few dirhams counted out: in such low estimation did they hold him!

Abul Ala Maududi
Later they sold him for a paltry sum – just a few dirhams; they did not care to obtain a higher price.

Muhsin Khan
And they sold him for a low price, – for a few Dirhams (i.e. for a few silver coins). And they were of those who regarded him insignificant.

https://myislam.org/surah-yusuf/ayat-20/

But Joseph is said to live around 2000–1600 BC, and dirhams as a word is the Arabicized version of the greek coin drachma which were invented in 6th century bc.

The ancient drachma originated in Greece around the 6th century BC.^([1])

Even professor sean anthony says this is a clear anachronism!

To refer to coins as such in Ancient Egypt, yes. Silver could be exchanged and carried value, but it was not minted as coinage.
