Vaganova placement at the barre and centre during exam
The centre spot is usually for the best dancer in class, but what about the other spots? Are dancers placed randomly?
Does anyone else wonder if principal dancers are 'cliquey' and don't mingle with corps members/newly-joined dancers?
I also wonder if international dancers feel left out by locals.
I'm not a pro nor will I ever be, but sometimes I think about the social dynamics inside a company.
Need help identifying this valse/waltz
It's here (sorry it's on Facebook). I was thinking it's a variation from somewhere, but I can't tell for sure. Thank you!
Edit: I'm dying to know what the music is. The actual variation would be a bonus.
Writing materials during the DELF
Are we allowed to bring different pens, pencil, and correction tape? Thanks
Is there a reason why male corp dancers don't usually bow at the end of classical repertoire performances?
I'm talking about the part where the curtain is lifted up again for the dancers to bow. I've seen Giselle, Swan Lake, La Bayadère, amongst many others, and I just realised this. Is there a reason?
I'm talking about the grand jeté that does not involve a développé to the front.
