Asking those from all walks who have aggregated, acquired or just continued to build.

We have a 6bil firm, primarily owned by the ceo and CFO (founders). We have tax practice in house, estate planning attorney on staff (building that out more).

The management team (also large producers) are doing most of the work where it seems like the CEO and CFO are doing less and less. They say they want one of us (seeming like me ) most likely to take on even more to set up a good succession plan. About 10% in total roughly has been distributed over time to employees and partners.

The problem? Seems like they want to hold on to too much equity, and the partners are all 2-3m producers (and growing).

Sort of lost on how to approach equity at this point to make it worth it for us to be doing all the work at the company? Any ideas? Take on a strategic partner? Why or why not ? Curious on some of your thoughts of what you’d do
