Context: I’ve tried to leave twice and she refused to answer calls from other landlords as a reference and last time she lowered my rent as a last ditch effort because she was desperate for me to stay. I want to FINALLY leave but in this rental market I know she’s going to make it even worse. Do you just fake landlord references in this case? I have an 867 credit score, stable income, and I’m very low key. I’m a dream tenant tbh. Also, is there any way I can get references on LANDLORDS. Like why the fuck can’t we get character references on them.
