Humidity Check?!?

Hey gang, I’m growing out a vivarium I plan to house a crested gecko in. (It’s not done, I plan to throw in a LOT more climbing points). I’ve been monitoring temps and humidity and mist once in the morning and night. Humidity seems to hold well around 60-80 but it looks dry inside?? Is this normal or do I have a faulty gauge maybe?

P.S - I did the salt calibration and it was spot on so I think it’s good. I also don’t keep it in there. I will mist and then throw it in for an hour and check the humidity/temps

Calling All Young Adult Parrot Owners!!

So I am 20 working full time AND doing school. BOTH I do from home! Being home as much as I am during the day making phone calls and some school, I want a little buddy. I was looking into green cheek conures or cockatiels. Now, being an aspiring young man, I am very nervous long term. Eventually, I would love to get engaged and have kids with my partner. I am also nervous of my future with work, I might not get to work from home all the time. If anyone has advice in a similar situation, I would love to hear some wisdom!! Or if there are any other bird recommendations that are "lower" maintenance (for a bird) that anyone would consider, I am open as well! Maybe its a better idea than a reality for me...

Hey gang, I just finished building this custom vivarium for a crested gecko I plan to get within these next couple months. I’ve planted some golden pathos, Bromeliad, and a snake plant! I have a culture of springtails and powder orange isopods roaming around! This is my first build so I’m looking for any advice or tips on keeping the plants and cleanup crew thriving?

P.S- My pops keeps the temps COOL in the house so I know I’ll have to get a heat lamp for a gecko eventually..
