LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE
- Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US: Absolutely cannot spend over $1,500 but lower is preferable. I'm a college student lol
- Are you open to refurbs/used? yes as long as it's from a reliable company...but I don't know of many reliable companies
- How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life? Build quality is my highest priority. Battery life is my least priority, I carry my charger on me everywhere anyways
- How important is weight and thinness to you? Not super important
- Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. N/A
- Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. I was looking at GeForce 5060 level laptops. My biggest priority is running the games, they don't need to look fabulous necessarily.
- If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? Cyberpunk 2077, Horizon Forbidden West, modded Minecraft. I'd like to be able to play them on good quality, but it doesn't need to be the best. I've always had 60 fps so I'm good with that.
- Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? I need to be able to comfortably type for a long while. Lots of essays to write. Fingerprint reader would be cool but not necessary.
- Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. I am terrified of breaking the hinge on my laptop again. I don't think gaming laptops usually come in 2-in-ones, but I absolutely do NOT want one of those. Also, having at least two USB-A ports would be nice.
