I don't mean to sound hostile, I love this game. But they added literally nothing impactful to Twisted Sprout. Also, barely anything to Sprout himself. From what I've seen, they simply tweaked golden quests to become more rewarding and "easier." It's still not necessarily easy, considering it's completely luck based. You could go 20 floors and not a sign of Sprout, I know I did.
It really bothers me how much they hyped the Sprout update to only tweak his animations and SFX. How come Bassie's twisted got a complete makeover, but he can't get another ability? The fandom has been adding ideas for YEARS, and the team doesn't seem to take notice of it at all! There are so many amazing videos showcasing redesigns, machines, and gameplay ideas.
On a positive note, the lore we received was actually a helpful, informative clip that assisted us to understand timeline. Good for Sprout to finally get a bit more depth, and I'm truly loving his character more because of it.
In summary, I'm disappointed with the gameplay aspect. I don't think Dandy's World is coming out of Alpha anytime this year, considering how many problems there still are with the ignorance of the gameplay loop. But I'm excited to see the upcoming lore from newer updates, and I'm mostly excited for Shrimpo and Finn's XD
