Cosmetic fee in addition to the surgery cost?

This may be a dumb question. But did y’all have to pay a chunk of money for the cosmetic part of the surgery that doesn’t go through insurance? Because of my 2,000 deductible, it makes the final cost about 6,000. 2,000 is liposuction, but it’s annoying that I have to pay so much even though I have insurance. How much did y’all pay for the cosmetic part?

Pre-authorization and insurance

Has anyone gotten pre-approved with their insurance company for surgery before they scheduled a surgery day? The reason why I’m trying to do this is because the surgeon I’m trying to go to has a non refundable deposit policy of $1500 if I schedule a surgery date. My insurance is Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma. The surgeon is in the BCBS network, and I have my Therapist letter of recommendation. They should cover it, but I need to figure out for sure if they will or not.
