GitHub landed me the job of my dreams
Guys it’s been brutal out there. Probably applied to a thousand jobs in the last couple of years and absolutely nothing was going anywhere. Despite the frustration I kept grinding away at my own projects.
Last week someone who was interested in how I did something I posted on GitHub reached out, had some talks, lead to a call with the CEO. Hired me on the spot.
I’m absolutely reeling right now. Offered an amazing salary, only 1 day a week at the office, ownership stake available after 1 year.
Guys if it can happen to me it can happen to you. Keep getting your work out there and eventually you’ll get noticed too. Just wanted to thank everyone in this sub for all the advice and advice and encouragement along the way. THANK YOU!!!!!
