TRMNL X buyers remorse
I preordered and received it awhile ago. I've been in contact with support since day one. It came unresponsive, and the help doc instructions fixed that - great.

Once the charge the battery came with died, I couldn't get it to charge. I have tried every position. I cannot get it to charge for more than a few seconds. I have taken the doc apart so that the pins for sure reach, and then it will charge, but I'm certainly not going to hold it manually like that for an hour each time.

I understand from this subreddit that there is a firmware update that may somehow address this, which support pushed to my device, alas, I cannot update the firmware if I cannot get it to charge.

This dock design is a nightmare. The pins do not connect. The thread on here where a guy removed the logo plate from the back to make it connect, yeah, that makes sense. The amount of time troubleshooting is unacceptable. Buyer beware!
