Qualifying as a lawyer in the public sector?
Has anyone went down the route of qualifying as a lawyer in the public sector in general (not via the Chief State Solicitors)
I know opportunities are a lot less via this avenue, and it may involve paying for Blackhall yourself, and/or doing the hybrid course or taking unpaid leave to do Blackhall full time - which isn’t an option for most.
I work with a public sector regulator, which has an in house legal team - and was wondering if it would be possible? I can’t see a block to it, if one of the in house lawyers would agree to be a training solicitor?
All insights welcome!
