I feel like "be consistent" gets repeated so much that nobody really questions it.

Obviously disappearing for weeks is bad. But posting all the time does not mean much if none of it is memorable. Some people post every day and blend into the background. Other people post less, but when they do, it actually lands.

So maybe the real issue is not inconsistency. Maybe it is being consistent without saying anything worth noticing. Do you value posting often more, or making fewer posts that actually have some signal?

Starting to feel like creating content is not the hard part anymore, but it feels more and more impossible to get people to actually see. You can write something genuinely useful, hit publish, and it just sits there unless you actively push it into feeds, communities, or email. Makes me wonder if content marketing has quietly shifted from a creation problem to a distribution problem, and whether it still works as a growth channel on its own or only as part of something bigger.
