early 2000s illustrated children's book about a dalmatian puppy looking for a home
This book really resonated with me when I was a kid, now I just want more kids to be able to experience the same thing tbh
It's about a dalmatian puppy looking for a home. I think there were parts where the pup was kicked out because they were too noisy or some shop owners just really didn't like dogs. I also remember parts of it where they went to the butchers and stole sausages because they were hungry and was stuck in the streets for a long while.
In the climax there was a big fire and there was nobody there to help, so the pup started barking and eventually found a fire station. After taking care of the fire, the firemen decided to adopt the puppy and the last scene was the pup being carried by the fireman looking all happy and satisfied that he finally has a home
It was a fairly big but thin hard cover illustrated children's book that was part of a set of other stories.
