This build started as a joke, but it actually works surprisingly well!
I used a RAK WisBlock Mini and an 18650 battery tucked into a standard Altoids tin. To get around the Faraday cage issue, I mounted the Muzi whip on top and the BT antenna outside on the bottom.
Build details:
- Board is raised on adhesive foam strips so it doesn't short out on the tin.
- Solder and heat shrink on the battery holder connections for a solid fit.
- Heavy duty rubber coated magnet on the back for easy mounting.
- Gets about 2 weeks of uptime on a single 18650.
- It's not waterproof so I don't plan to leave it outside unattended.
