Arch - the NIC nightmare

So, its been a month since I installed Arch out of frustration with AI everything from Microslop. I have the B560M Mortar WiFi which comes with its 2.5Gbps Ethernet port from Realtek. It has been a pain in my... uhhhh... you get the idea.

Anyhow, I tested EndeavourOS which is Arch based as I am used to KDE Plasm. Here's the issue.

My NIC starts flapping and cant get an IP address on the r8169 driver. In EndeavourOS worked without issue.

Second issue is my sudo suddenly stopped working overnight. Checked sudoers and %Wheel was commented out... so, tell me, is it me, or is my system cursed? I could really do with some help as I am genuinely considering going from Arch + KDE to EndeavourOS which seems to work without issue.

Finally, after a year of Procrastinating. Playing with my Steam Deck, then 24 hours of battling... I made it. Hello Arch + KDE Plasma. First tine a PC has made my cry in a really good and happy way. After maybe 15 years of Windows, 10 of MacOS and 2 of Ubuntu, we're finally up and running, everything setup, and the freedom is euphoric, I haven't had to sign into a single account (except my Google account!) So... this is gonna be wild!

Windows: NO working RGB control, broken programs, sales pitches every 10 minutes, AI everything...

Arch: Absolute nightmare to get it going, but its going and its glorious!

My first official day with Arch is coming up, and I will get tk just relax and enjoy my PC for what it is - a damn good machine!
