got a corn cob for my AR
FOR Systems Monarch Recce Ti
First suppressor and am shooting it the first time this weekend, so I can’t offer comparisons of performance to another suppressor. There’s a couple comparison videos on YouTube plus PEW science data and podcast episodes on it however.
I wanted a short and light low back pressure suppressor that was in stock and sold by a responsive company making stuff to spec that wasn’t getting recalled. I didn’t want to get a large diameter suppressor that would force me to get new mounts for things. I won’t put an FRT in this rifle, am not mag dumping a lot, and am not shooting all day so I was cool to sacrifice inconel durability for weight. Their recommended firing schedule (60rds + 5 min cooldown) is probably viewed as restrictive by many. I’ll just shoot a pistol for 5 mins and then carry on.
-$724 from Rainier Arms. I used Silencer Shop for fingerprints and forms. LGS to certify and pick up. Took 6 business days to get approved.
-measured weight: 7.141 oz
-advertised weight: 7.4 oz
-No metal shavings or burrs. Can looks pristine. Length was as advertised at 4.9”
-Comstock Armory Plan B Recessed Micro Break (weight: 1.495 oz)
-Comstock Armory Recessed Titanium Plan B HUB mount (weight: 1.193 oz)
I barely notice this thing is on the rifle. The break + mount together weigh like 0.5oz more than an A2 which is rad. And the diameter is what I needed as well.
Shout out Comstock Armory for being a wealth of information and a generally rad person/company. They helped me out in multiple ways through this process.
