Can anybody help me with this PCN ? UK Newham Council
I am self-employed. I was working for a traffic management company. Who was hired by Newham Council, there was parking restrictions for the company I worked for and it said that on the parking restrictions. The parking was restricted for traffic management company , I was given a ticket on the day while I was away from my car working on the job and when I approached the ticket inspector He said it’s too late and even my work colleagues had said that I was working. My car is not a chaptered vehicle it is a personal vehicle and I tried to appeal it and they told me that I needed proof I sent paid invoices and job request to that address (where the ticket was given) hoping that would be adequate to which I was told it was not. They then contacted the company that I worked for bearing in mind I was hired through an agency and they said they could not confirm nor deny if I was working on that date in that area but I had timestamp photos which I sent to their email for that job on that day.
During that which happened a year ago I have been made homeless under some homelessness act and had no fixed address. I have just moved into a new place and started moving so the old stuff I had in different areas. I parked my car at my mum‘s and they have clamped the car on my mum‘s drive . Stating that they have sent several correspondence . I have not received anything as I was no longer at that address My mum does not live in this country only carers come there to see my dad no one has seen any letters. At this current time I’m scheduled to work in the next two days. I’d want to know what my options are aside from paying if I do pay can I still appeal it? And how likely is it that they were refunded anything back to me? is there a way that I can appeal it because I wasn’t able to receive any correspondence because I wasn’t allowed into that property? I have documentation from my local council telling me that I am homeless.
