Average closing merchants scheduled at your warehouse.
Question for my fellow Costco employees:
How many Merch employees and forklift drivers do you typically schedule for closing in your warehouse not including clothing.
We're running with 7 Mon-Thurs & 8 on Weekends with a minimum of 3 employees driver trained leaving me with 4-5 stockers after we close.
We're also expected on a daily basis to stock 1/2 of Dairy & alternate days between Juice & Coffee in foods on top of having Sundries stocked.
I’m curious how staffing compares across locations. Also, what’s your average sales if you’re comfortable sharing? Ours is 650k-800k on the weekdays & 850k-1m on weekends.
Trying to get a better understanding of how other warehouses staff their night merchants and whether staffing levels are fairly consistent company-wide.
I know majority of us did not hire seasonal this year. We're getting burnt out here with the amount of work they expect but low on manpower to complete it.
