Im hoping to get some guidance here. I just purchased and installed my AP7c on my second floor of a 3 story house, about 1,520sq ft. Before upgrading i was running a TP-Link EAP660HD. It appears that im not getting the same coverage from the AP7c sitting in the same location.
Doing some testing, on the first floor im getting about 1000-1300Mb/s (channel 37 6GHz) on Samsung S25 Ultra. When i move to the basement it drops dramatically to Channel 11 2.4 GHz. I know 2.4 goes alot further then 5 & 6.
The only things that are wireless in the basement is my washer, dryer and 3d printer.
Do i need to purchase a second AP7c for the basement since im over the recommended square footage for the device or do i let it go.
My other concern is the AP7c gets so hot that it will burn your finger. Is this by design or do i have a bad AP.
I appreciate any guidance.
