Memory loss fantasy book
Ok so there's this book that I think from a series. I don't think it was the first book in the series, or maybe it was i don't really remember anymore. The main character had lost his memories due to touching/acquiring an item in sone fight and now he doesn't remember who is friends are and everything.
If I remember correctly it is also like a fantasy book and the MC had a girlfriend, but since he doesn't remember her their relationship is strained.
There was this one scene where he was in front of a class and the gf stepped in to defend him when the class started to like bulky him or something? Anyways afterwards they talked and it got awkward. I also remember another friend of his I think telling him that she needs time to process this. Also in that class he was renowned as like good at combat but bc of his memory loss he isn't as good anymore.
Idk can anybody help me?
