Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a new e-reader that runs Android so I can use some specific apps I like (Kindle, Libby, maybe a couple of manga/reading apps).
I already own a Kindle, so this time I want something different, more open and based on Android. Ideally:
Around 7" screen (6.8–7" is fine)
E-ink display, not an LCD tablet
Full Android with access to Google Play (or at least easy app installation)
Good enough performance for switching between apps and books
Decent battery life (I know it won’t match a Kindle, but I don’t want to charge it every single day)
So far I’ve seen devices like the Boox Go 7 / Go Color 7, some Meebook models (M7, M8), and a few from Bigme, but it’s hard to tell what actually works well in real life.
What would you recommend for someone who:
Mainly reads ebooks and some manga/comics
Wants to install a few Android apps and keep everything in one device
Is used to Kindle but wants more flexibility?
Any suggestions, pros/cons, or “avoid this one” stories are welcome. Thanks in advance!
