The Vision
Babylon 3013 is an ambitious third-person shooter project and a defining challenge for our studio—an Open World experience blending survival and RPG elements within a Dystopian Cyberpunk setting. To maintain our independence as a studio while bringing this vision to life, we are developing the project through Early Access.
The Roadmap & Philosophy
- The Entry Point: We will enter Early Access once we are certain the world is fun to inhabit. From the start, you will have access to the Open World, along with survival and RPG systems tuned to ensure a compelling core gameplay loop.
- The Long-Term Evolution: We expect to remain in Early Access for a significant period. This is an ambitious blend of genres, and we are deeply committed to high-quality storytelling and complex scripted quests.
A World on the Brink
Set in the year 3013, the game takes place where the lines between cutting-edge technology, ancient superstition, and theology have collapsed. This unstable reality has turned the world into a ticking time bomb.
Consequence-Driven Narrative
As the protagonist, you are the catalyst. Various factions are locked in a perpetual Cold War for dominance—a conflict that could turn "hot" at any moment. Every decision you make carries weight and produces visible consequences. You might choose a path that brands you a wanted outlaw in one region, while simultaneously becoming a trusted ally in another.
Traversal
An Open World environment requires proper transportation. To navigate the landscape, players will have access to a variety of vehicles designed for traversal.
Our Commitment to Quality
We want to manage expectations: do not expect every planned survival and RPG system to be active the moment Early Access launches. We follow one strict rule: we do not add a system to the game until it is fully polished and fun. We promise the launch version will be entertaining, and as we approach the release, we will provide a playable demo and a full list of all gameplay systems and environments included in that version.
