hello! just starting out ponding - here is my 5 day old pond. what a joy! wondering if anybody has any advice for making it more alluring to birds or other wildlife. would love to see them splash around in here but so far no takers. i have a shallow end (where the river rocks are piled up) and a deep end (where the tall plants are). also i’m in southern california if that matters

ignore the rocks and terra cotta and dirt around the edge… she’s a work in progress

edit: i do have a solar pump at the center of the pond! there’s even a backup battery so it runs all day even when it’s shady
