Hi, two friends and I are going to be travelling through Taiwan from mid-late May and have yet to finalise our itinerary...

Here is what we're thinking:

(one of my friends will be arriving a day after us and leaving two days before so that's why we need a good amount of time in Taipei at either end)

4 nights Taipei
2 nights Tainan
3 nights Xiaoliuqui
3 nights Taipei

Our main aims are to eat lots of amazing food, wander city streets and soak up the *vibe*, go on long hikes, and have some beach and snorkeling time. We will want to see a couple temples and interesting museums, but by and large we're not really into ticking off tourist hotspots. We're on a bit of a budget so probably won't do any tours, but won't have a car so will need to rely on public transport/taxis if necessary.

While we're in Taipei we plan to do some day trips to Beitou hot springs and Jiufen, plus hikes nearby - open to any recommendations on good day hikes!

How does our plan look? One of my friends is keen to see the east coast too but I'm concerned we'll spend too much time travelling and not enough time in each place if we do that

Hi there, my best friend and I will be in South Korea for 8 days in June but we won’t have a car. We plan to spend half the time in Seoul and then fly to Jeju island (so 3 full days in Jeju island with travel days either side).

My main question is where should we stay in Jeju? We love nature so would like to see either countryside or beach (or both) and not necessarily *do* much beyond hanging out at the beach and hiking. We will get our city and culture fix in Seoul so it’s more important we see great nature in Jeju, so somewhere more rural would be nice. But is this realistic without a car?

Thank you!
