I am a physics student wanting to get into research. I am interested in a lot of research fields and am looking for a framework that can have me be involved in multiple research areas in the future. I am very interested in dynamics. Can any researchers help me get a picture of what they are doing in their research and express their honest opinion on what I'm trying to find?

I am a physics student especially interest in dynamics and I am looking for research fields in physics (not theoretical per se) that this kind of thinking dominates. I am more interested in applications of this theory rather than full on theoretical research. Anyone working on something similar or any advice on how I can learn more about this, events/seminars, books, magazines, universities and organizations that are heavy om such research?
