A public health warning has been issued because someone stole thousands of toxic oysters. Who on earth is black-market seafood trafficking?
I just saw a breaking news update that a public health warning has been issued after literally thousands of oysters were stolen from a commercial farm in the region. The farm's general manager is warning people because the oysters hadn't gone through the final clearing/depuration process yet meaning they could be carrying some pretty nasty toxic bacteria. Who is the mastermind behind a midnight seafood heist? Are we going to see someone standing in an alleyway in Fortitude Valley at 2 AM opening a trench coat full of dodgy half-shells? Lol In all seriousness, if you see an absolute mountain of incredibly cheap oysters pop up on FB Marketplace or at a sketchy roadside stall this week... maybe skip the seafood platter.
