Not sure if mini or standard?
My boy used to be a breeding dog before I found him, and I adopted him when he was 5 and got him neutered, effectively retiring him. When I got him, he weighed just under 10lbs (see 1st pic) He turns 7 this year, and we just went to the vet and he now weighs 18lbs (second pic). He goes to playgroup 3 times a week & runs around in our yard as well, but is a stubborn walker so we never get far. He gets 1/3rd a cup of food 2x a day, but I feel like he’s pretty large? I want him to be safe and healthy so if he is actually a mini I would love advice on how to slim him down, but he’s my first doxie so I’m not sure if he’s actually a mini. He just seems so much bigger! Attached photos to show when I first got him & now. Any advice/input appreciated!
