Hi everyone. I'm entering university soon and will be living in a dorm. I'll need a laptop for the duration of my studies, and preferably beyond. So, I'm faced with a choice: a MacBook or Windows. My budget is $1,300. On the one hand, I wouldn't mind trying a Mac. On the other hand, I don't have any other Apple devices, and as far as I know, many programs are simply not available on MacOS. So far, I'm considering the following options: 1)mac Air M4, 2) mac Air Pro M2, 3) Honor MagicBook Pro 14. My goals: scientific work, solving differential equations, modeling like in ComSol.
