Onyado Nono in Kyoto AND Tokyo?

We’re a family of 4 (kids are 9 and 14) and we’ve booked Onyado Nono Kyoto Shichijo Natural Hot Springs in Kyoto for 2 nights. I didn’t realize this was a “TikTok viral” hotel…but we’re excited about it.

When we return to Tokyo for 3 nights, we booked the Onyado Nono Asakusa Hot spring location in Tokyo. But reconsidering now.

Will we be over the experience by then and just want a more spacious, traditional “family room” at one of the bigger chain hotels before we fly back home? The ones that are basically small apartments with kitchen, washing machine etc.

Price is comparable. Looking for feedback!

Japan with 14 year old and 9 year old

Family of 4 (me and husband, 14 year old and 9 year old) are heading to Japan for 10 nights:

Tokyo (3 nights in Akihabara)
Osaka (2 nights near Osaka station)
Kyoto (2 nights)
Tokyo (3 nights in Asakusa)

My boys love anime, cars and everything in between. I know we’re going to end up buying a lot of stuff…I want to avoid bringing home junk, but…kids.

We are going to do a day trip to Awaji Island (for Nijigen No Mori) - we rented a car for that. We want to do Arashyiama monkey park, Fushimi etc. Not sure if we should bother with the Pokémon cafe? What about the Ghibli museum?

Looking for some ideas/feedback on our loose itinerary.
