First time poster.
For context, in terms of debt, I really don’t have that much. I have around £120 left to pay off my credit card, and around £500 I owe to my Mum, paying back around £50 a month at a time, through a mutual agreement.
I earn around £1600-£1700 a month, working full time from home.
On average, I try to put away about £700-£800 a month. This is mostly for moving out, part of an emergency fund, days out and for my postgrad (that I’m paying out of pocket for).
What confuses the HELL out of me - I got paid, spent about £40 on some clothes, £80ish on a share of a food shop, bought some drinks on Amazon. Then, I give my Mum £150 for rent, and the full amount (£43) for my phone. I also paid £75 off my credit card
I’ve barely spent that much “on myself”, and I’m skint already????
Does anyone have any hints and tips? Is it a “beans and rice” approach to not spend anything unless it’s the necessities?
