Very upset and unsure what to do
I just got my first jumper a few weeks ago for my birthday after begging for one for years, and I think he may be developing DKS.
He hasn't eaten in a few days, which wouldn't normally be a concern except for the fact that I can see his abdomen thinning. He's also a juvenile so he should be eating to get nutrition for his molt... He has a fruit fly in his mouth right now, but he just isn't eating it.
He also twitches sometimes. I noticed him shaking one of his legs a few days ago, but it wasn't bad so I wrote it off as just him moving around. But now it looks very jerky and weird.
He also seems to have lost coordination. He tried to jump onto a twig in his enclosure but fell. Thankfully he landed just an inch below on his felt hide, but still.
Another incident (although I'm not sure of the relevance) is a few days ago he was just SUPER freaked out whenever I opened his enclosure. He's on the shy side, but I had never seen him act like that before. Arms waving, literally running away even when I had my hand nowhere close, etc.
I'm so so worried and upset. I have prepared for caring for a jumper for a long time, I set up everything and did it all correctly. I don't know what has caused this and it's really really making me sad. My first jumper and I already screwed things up :(
I'm trying to capture it on video but haven't had much success. Please give me advice.
