Hi all,

I've applied for portuguese citizenship in October 2025 through GV

I relied on the 2024 law that considers waiting time for my card as legal residence. **The wait was 4.5 years for the (first) card to be issued from the moment we paid the analysis fee (!!)**. I passed the A2 Test, obtained my appostilled criminal records and successfuly submitted a complete application through a famous portuguese law firm.

I only received my tracking codes end of April 2026.

Obviously still in phase 1 (application received). I wonder how long it will take and whether they will even reply one day.. does anyone have a similar experience or any hints on how it might play out? Many thanks
