Defending most of Sukuna's "Asspulls" and "binding vow merchant" bs. YES in the big 26.
We all know that people still (yes in the big 26) say that sukuna is a mickey mouse bs character, does binding vows like a hobby and had ass pulls. So let me clarify almost all i can remember.
"Ass pulls"
Sukuna tanking the 200% purple - Sukuna himself said that he reinforces his arms to tried to block it. Not only that, the purple was like in 4 KM distance and its not existence erasure attack like people think it is.
Sukuna surviving hollow nuke - Unlimited hollow purple is just weaker than a normal hp. its that simple
Sukuna getting the wcs - The entire fight of Gojo v Sukie was building up to the moment Sukuna finds out a way to bypass infinity, and in the same battle, we get to know that sukuna is so damn smart that he can copy a move while just seeing it once (Burnout healing thing), and Mahoraga found out a way to bypass infinity, to send a slash beyond the target, and who knows better in slashes than sukuna ?
True form Sukie - People still argue that this was an asspull believe it or not. It's literally said by Sukuna himself when Kenny asked him are you are still gonna keep this face (megumi form) and sukie said for now, its gonna be useful.
Kamutoke - It's literally just a fun gimmick gege wanted to imply that he used these weapons in the heian era. we literally get an art of him with kamutoke and hiten way before this. It's not even an asspull to pack him stronger, its just a cool gimmick. The part where it was confiscated by higgy instead of his CT was plot convenience, not an asspull. What do u want ? Him to just lock in and speedblitze everyone there ?
Execution sword - c'mon bruh this was just his iq man. You literally can't make this up. He has seen what happens in yuji's body, he's the type of guy to play around and break you mentally before killing you. So obviously he's gonna almost get hit but slices his hand off when higgy hit him. But for yuji's case...again he's just super fast gng. He just blitzed choso's piercing blood. why wouldnt he just move slightly when yuji is there.
Hollow wicker basket - This is where the "ah yes the technique i haven't used since the heian era" memes came from i think. But how illiterate were yall when the chapter released ? We literally see Reggie and Kashimo having this, so why can't jujutsu god have it?
Yujo's hollow purple - Yuta was inexperienced, was not a proper handsign for hp, point blank yet it all just boiled down to Sukuna's durability and Yuta's inexperience.
Tanking Jacob's Ladder - It's mentioned a lot of times that if you lose your limb, you lose output (noabito, angel, sukuna). Sukuna didn't "tank" it because he's so dumb strong, the output was just buns. I mean yuji was able to tank it too.
Binding Vows
Reducing the range of his domain to increase his output.
Further reducing the effective range of his domain to increase his output.
wcs to land on gojo with no handsigns or chants but must need 3 hands for future use
99-second Malevolent Shrine but more output and longer range
Strong furnace, sacrificing no use outside domain.
got rid of 99 seconds, longer but weaker domain to target yujo's domain.
Like none of these are crazy binding vows. It's reasonably made binding vows he did to survive. People say he didn't lose anything special or too important to him. But that's not how binding vow works, you lose something small to gain another thing that amount u sacrificed. Literally all these binding vows he made are balanced and reasonable. Not only that, people call him the binding vow merchant especially after the gojo fight, when in total he did 3 binding vows post-gojo fight like ??? I mean if the anti sukie squad entirely used like what 4 binding vows ? whats wrong with one guy using 6 ? besides sukuna isn't some random guy, he's literal jujutsu god. He mastered jujutsu, so obviously he's gonna take advantage of the system.
I know i missed some and might have said a few wrong information, i'm talking just from my head here, its been a while since i read the manga. I genuinely have no idea why people still call sukuna a binding vow merchant and a mickey mouse bs character. It's mostly gojo fans and if your doing it for the agenda ? ay i respect the hustle. But there are people who genuinely thinks sukuna does bs when he's like the most grounded villains in modern shonen who doesn't get a "final battle special technique" type shit. I genuinely don't know why gojo fans keep arguing. Gojo had the best ending, heck the best ending in the entire story. Such beautiful writing just for the fans to go, nu uh this is bs, my goat has to live forever like ?? Like it's been 3 years gng.
