Hoping to get some opinions from people who have done this kind of layover before.

I have a flight from Palma to Malta, with an overnight layover in Barcelona from 12:15AM to 5:55AM.

Is there any merit in leaving the airport and exploring/ going out or should I just sleep in the airport?
