I just signed on to work with a tutoring company in a HCOL area and they agreed to my rate of $60 p/h, with an increase of $75 after the probationary period. Did any of you make a living while working with an agency, or did you have to strike out on your own? I’ll be starting off with 15 hours and I want to max out at 30, except during the high periods, where I’ll go 40 hours for a few weeks.

I would rather not have to build a business, but I know the way things are. I’d like to potentially build something for study guide aides as I’m good with worksheets and can teach/tutor AP, but I want to see how this goes first.
