rentdebt
I recently tried to apply for an apartment and was denied due to a collections from a house that I lived in (I don't check my credit report like that). The collections agency is RentDebt / RDAC and they say if I pay/settle they will update to the credit bureaus twice a month and that once it's paid I would have to contact the CB to have it removed.
Does anyone have successful experience dealing with them? I hear they don't do a pay to delete and I am desperately trying to move.
Any tips? They want/urge me to pay online and I can as long as it truly gets removed so that I can move.
Also I know that this is insignificant but they keep referring to it as an apartment and constantly call me by a different last name even though I told them that was never my name.
