The diagram shows a square. If the shaded region has an area of 20 cm^2, determine he total area of the non-shaded regions in cm^2. (Image not drawn to scale)
Please show all calculations, thank you. This is from a math olympiad I wrote and unfortunately I had to leave it out because I had no idea how to solve it. Sorry that I don't have an answer but I don't understand it.
