Graduating college in a year and have received a full time offer. I’d be working in DTLA (financial district) and will most likely have to live there as well within walking distance due to the high hours of the job. Is that enough to start a career in the area and set reasonable financial goals (emergency fund, 401k, excess savings)? Also, I won’t have to cover car insurance and health insurance for a few years since my parents will cover that.
