My Filipiniana collection

My previous post on filipiniana books gained a lot of traction, and I'm very, very proud to share that I've almost completely filled my bookshelves of Filipiniana in the span of two months. Notably, I've managed to obtain the entire omnibus of Renato Constantino's nationalist writing, Hartendorp's two volumes on the Japanese Occupation of the Philippines, Golay's seminal work the Face of an Empire: the United States and Philippines Relations, a book on the Augustinian Recollects' hagiography and history, and a first edition of Leon Ma Guerrero's the First Filipino. Most important are the Philippine Studies catalogue published quarterly by Ateneo de Manila press with a veritable amount of knowledge, as well as the much coveted Mr. Rural Reform: The Times and Tidings of Manny Manahan by Nick Joaquin. Not included in the pictures are some primary Spanish books because I sold them to buy other books 😅 such as Nick Joaquin's Un Retrato del Artista, a spanish report on the castles forts and garrisons of the islands, a book on Our Lady of Miraculous Medal, and some Alice Guerrero art books.

Collecting these is by no means an easy feat, especially for a student, and I needed some creative ways to earn money to buy books that I like (which I did through buy and sell). Kindly post your books as well on the comment section to see what I've missed so that I know what to buy next time 🙂
