Codex stole my wife, killed my plants, and kicked my Dog
I legit haven't had any issues with codex. Idk what some of ya'll are doing... But, genuinely feel sorry for ya. At one point I did notice the memory feature was kinda wonky & annoying - so I disabled it and never turned it back on. I've been pretty conservative on skills and don't really need / want MCP shit..
idk.. I haven't seen anything which would lead me to believe the model has been "lobotomized" or intentionally degraded in any way. I had a pretty long Claude stint and dumped a ton of money into them via OpenRouter only migrating away when it felt like Claude wasn't keeping up with what I wanted to achieve (and seeing my credit usage..) - apparently this was what we now call a model lobotomization.
Maybe I'm just a special snowflake and OpenAI loves me more than some of you... Who knows..
