So MLSE called Friday with an offer for my 6 yr old son to make up for kicking him outta the autism event he was to participate in after running kn the pitch. . Im not sure how my soccer obsessed 6 yr old even feels about this "make up" as they want to send him to a Marlies game.
To be fair they did offer to do something TFC for my son when games arrive back in Toronto if hockey wasnt my sons thing.
Not even sure we wanna go to TFC or Marlies any.ore.
They did send a package to my son which should be here next week so we shall see.
I guess when every MLSE team sucks choices are very limited.
I was so over Wonderland yesturday. The only part that melted beyond heart was this.
The way they had people go to Kidville for early ride tines you had to walk past Alpen Fury. After guest services we got to the back of the park around 915. We walked past Alpen Fury and the line was already growing.
Also the boarding passes are still highly abused its such BS.
I know throughout the year the park opens specific areas from 9-10. On those days what time does parking open? Still 9?.
This came up suggested on YouTube.
After my son run on the pitch we did a bunch of pictures (most on my friends phone). An update from last post. Friday MLSE did contact me to send my son a bunch of things. She said everything will be sent on Monday. She says that the beginning and they will call next week with other updates.
This is the corner we stood in for 1 hour after his run.
At the embarrassing game 4th they invited a few kids with autism to hold flags and walk out players holding hands for the anthem. For kids with high needs BMO had parents "supervisors" fill out work to ensure they could participate with the child. The only need they said they COULD nOT support was violence. My son arrived and ready. Even just entering was an issue after that they told me he had to do rehearsal alone. I told them he needsnto hold someone's hand and he left to the pitch holding someone's hand but then 2 minutes later they run back down the tunnel saying the parents of the boy wearing green need to come immediately as the child's run on the pitch and they cant catch him ( 6.5 yr old boy). My son doesn't know thats wrong he would walkninfrpnt of a car if he isn't held on to while walking down the side walk. They then decided he was to autistic for that opportunity. After that my son and I stood down on the pitch (infront of where Tribal Rhythm Nation drums) for almost an hour. They then said my son could participate in another experience and put him with a bunch of 10-12 yr old boys who were supposed to cheer on TFC. TFC knew to interact with kids due to the shirts they are given since my son did arrive with this other soccer team he didnt have the shirt and therefore missed that opportunity. MLSE didnt know where our group was so the only way to meet back up was to toss my son over to security after the anthem and then jump the railing myself. Before the kids even got back to there seats the first half was done.
From being such a big TFC supporter when they first started (using all vacation time to travel with BF and tfc) to this really makes me angry.
They clearly stated that children needing 1:1 support could participate with a supervisor.
I xant say what I really want to.
First game in 13 years May 5th. 6 year old son will be the ambassador. Meeting players at 430 and playing g game, pic and autographs, anthem on field and leave. The opportunity the world's giving to the autism community these past few years.
Many of you make fun of going to the game. Who said we go to the game. We dont have to go to the game at all we just can meet players and leave which is exactly what we plan on doing.

Hi everyone.
Embers for Acess has $28 tickets for the TFC game on May 5th.
