Replacing a VDO oil pressure sensor from the previous owner, sorry if this is obvious, should I keep tightening until the threads are no longer visible and it bottoms out? Having to put a good amount of pressure at this point to tighten and I’d rather ask than break this thing

Just looking to see if anyone knows exactly what it could be based off sound, thinking input shaft bearing maybe? Im guessing dropping the trans is the best answer but im just trying to research before I find the time
